3K5L: The conditions of this level apply to certain workshops, factories, unattended machine rooms, etc. The aforementioned usage locations generally have no temperature or humidity control, but heating devices may be used when there is a significant temperature difference between indoors and outdoors. Products in use will be affected by sunlight radiation, heat radiation, air flow (wind), condensation, and water other than rainfall, but are not affected by natural precipitation and freezing.

4K1: This level applies to products directly exposed in unprotected locations with "warm temperate" and "subtropical humid" climate types.
4K2: This level applies to products directly exposed in unprotected locations with four climate types: "cold temperate", "warm temperate", "dry hot", and "subtropical humid".

4C2: This level applies to areas with general pollution, chemical active substances distributed throughout the region or in towns with heavy traffic. The concentration of chemical gases in the environment is low, but sometimes pungent odors can be detected.
3C3, 4C3: These two levels apply to locations near industrial production areas with chemical pollutants or directly in industrial production areas. The environment contains moderate concentrations of chemical gases, and people often feel chemical irritation.
3C4, 4C4: These two levels apply to industrial production areas where high concentrations of chemical pollutants may occur. The chemical gases in the environment strongly irritate humans, and protective equipment is sometimes required to work on site.

4S2: This level applies to unprotected locations in areas with sources of sand, dust, or industrial dust.
4S3: This level applies to locations near sources of sand, dust, or industrial dust, or geographically located in areas with windblown sand or dusty air without climate protection.
4S4: This level applies to unprotected locations geographically or due to production conditions where the air frequently contains high amounts of sand, dust, or industrial dust.
